Water Treatment Kit
No dead water. No dead deer.™
Keep your herd healthy by improving water quality. This all-natural three-part system is built for land managers and hunters who want to stop EHD before it starts and also pond owners looking for a way to improve water quality for all wildlife including fish with all natural ingredients. EHD-fense also helps prevent Bluetongue and removes blue green algae & toxic/pathogenic bacteria.
- Catapult™: Liquid enzymes that speed up decomposition of organic material and support bacteria growth
- LiveWater™: Beneficial bacteria that remove excess nutrients and build a balanced aquatic food chain
- D-Muck™: Sinkable pellets that work at the bottom, reducing muck where midges breed
Everything is conveniently packed in a bucket. Easy to store, simple to apply, and proven to work.
Application: One kit treats one pond up to 30 feet across or five water tubs for five months. For larger ponds or questions about sizing, email questions@EHD-fense.com.
For a pond 30 feet across or smaller each month do the following. Toss 2 scoops of D-Muck pellets in the water along the shoreline. Toss one Live Water packet towards the middle of the pond. Pour 6.5 ounces of Catapult after shaking well in four spots along the shoreline.
For a water tub or Earth Pond each month do the following. Toss approximately 1/3 scoop of D-Muck pellets in. Toss 1/4 of a Live Water packet in (I recommend cutting open the Live Water packets and splitting each packet into 4 equal parts and saving them in Ziplock bags for the most effective use). Pour 1 1/2 ounces of Catapult after shaking well.
Northern States: Treat once a month May through September. If you don't get a killing frost, we recommend treating your water source in October also.
Southern States: Treat once a month March through December unless you get a killing frost.

Minimize the Muck to Protect Your Buck
EHD-fense™ targets the root cause of EHD outbreaks: stagnant, nutrient-rich water where midges breed and thrive. This all-natural 3-part system improves water quality and restores the aquatic balance midges cannot survive in.
1. Catapult™
Pour Catapult around the edges of your water source. These powerful enzymes speed up the decomposition of organic material such as leaves, algae, and waste. This reduces muck, the primary breeding ground for midges.
2. LiveWater™
Pitch a LiveWater pack directly into the water. These bacteria remove excess nitrogen and phosphorus, helping create a healthy aquatic ecosystem where beneficial insects and invertebrates can thrive.
3. D-Muck™
Propel D-Muck pellets across the water surface. They sink to the bottom and digest built-up organic matter, clearing the sediment midges rely on and improving long-term water quality.
FAQs
What is EHD?
Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease is a viral illness transmitted by midges. It causes high mortality in whitetail deer, especially in warm, dry seasons.
How does EHD-fense prevent it?
By improving water quality, reducing muck, and restoring healthy microbial ecosystems, EHD-fense allows aquatic life to thrive which outcompetes the EHD-carrying midge. It also removes muck, the breeding ground midges rely on.
Is EHD-fense safe for wildlife?
Yes. The ingredients are all-natural and safe for deer, birds, other wildlife and the environment.
How large of a water source does one kit treat?
One kit treats a 2,500-gallon pond or five 500-gallon water sources for five months.
